#T4Tinnitus – Fundraising event for the British Tinnitus Association

THE TINNITUS ROOMS IS OPENING ITS DOORS EARLY TO RAISE A CUP OF TEA AND ENJOY SOME CAKE FOR TINNITUS IN GREENWICH. THE EVENT WILL RAISE VITAL FUNDS FOR THE BRITISH TINNITUS ASSOCIATION (BTA). HERE, ADAM CHELL, AUDIOLOGIST AND CO-FOUNDER OF TINNITUS ROOMS EXPLAINS,

“We know that there are a lot of people with tinnitus who do not know where to turn and we want to offer a relaxed place for them to share their experiences.”

“We will be focusing on a range of activities and speakers discussing everything from indian head massage, mindfulness and meditation, psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy to audiological counselling. Importantly there will be plenty of opportunities to talk. The group will be free to attend and we are encouraging anyone who is suffering with tinnitus or has a family member or friend who is suffering to come along and find out more.”

“We know from experience that support groups play a very important part of learning to live with tinnitus. Talking to other people makes you realise that you are not alone and although there is no magic ‘off’ button there are lots of things you can do that will help. We want to get this message out to as many people as we can so that no-one has to struggle on alone.”

“We will be launching on Thursday 13th July and look forward to seeing people there, but before we formally launch we didn’t want to miss the opportunity to support the BTA with their month long fundraising event Tea for Tinnitus.”

“Our Tea for Tinnitus fundraising party will take place on June 22nd at Dragonfly Lifestyle in Greenwich between 3pm and 6pm and we’ll have tea and cake on offer and will be aiming to raise as much money as possible for the BTA.

“We do hope that lots of people will come and join us and learn more about th elaunch of the support group in July.”
