Tinnitus Awareness Week 2018 is almost here. On the 8th February 2018 we are running a special group session at Dragonfly Lifestyle. This is located in Greenwich Market and will be from 18:30.
We have invited Puretone Ltd to join us. They specialise in technology and products for individuals who experience tinnitus. Their specialist representative will be talking about their product portfolio. You will also be given the opportunity to ask any questions and demo anything that takes your interest. For all Puretone products ordered there will be a special on the day discount.
Time For You
As always, there will be the opportunity to sit and chat about your experience with tinnitus. Perhaps this is the first time you are coming to a meeting or you may have been before. Either way, you will be welcomed in to a very friendly, relaxed atmosphere. You and your wellbeing are at the centre of everything we do.
At the end of the group we like to finish with our signature ‘Mindfulness Moment’. This is just a few minutes to teach you how to be in the present moment. This helps you to reflect on how your body and mind is feeling. This isn’t compulsory, but we encourage attendees to stay for this.
Hearing Protection
As you may know, there is a close link between exposure to noise and tinnitus. Hearing protection is a crucial step to looking after your hearing. There is a wide choice on offer by Puretone. If you are a musician, or just enjoy music, make sure you come along and talk to our experts about what would be right for you.
Sound Generators
Sound generators can be used to provide short term relief from tinnitus symptoms. Coming along on the day will give you the opportunity to see some in action. They can play a wide range of sounds at a volume to suit you and can be very useful in the early stages of experiencing tinnitus.
Other technology
There will be other technology on offer such as speaker pillows, telephones and custom in ear monitors. Please feel free to look on their website and if there is anything you like, come along on the day and show some interest.
Charity
To support tinnitus awareness week, a portion of the profits from any sales will go to the British Tinnitus Association. This will help to support their ongoing efforts in researching tinnitus, supporting individuals and raising awareness.
